Tokugawaen Garden began when Mitsutoko, the 2nd Owari domain lord who was the head of the three Tokugawa families, moved to his Ozone residence, which was his retirement house. It is a Japanese garden with numerous highlights that are around a pond in the center. The clear stream that flows from a water fall through the ravine and the pond express Japanese nature symbolically. The garden can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons, from the fresh green and colored leaves to the peony and iris flowers.
