A Quiet Place.....rnrnrn Went for a walk along a dirt road,rn kicking pebbles as I went along.rn After a while I could see in the distance,rn trees surrounding a lake peaceful and strong.rnrn Continued walking closer to the lake,rn looking around for a quiet place.rn Too many problems, nerves on edge,rn slow down, relax, unwind, not race.rnrn A spot to sit under a willow tree,rn lean back, relax enjoy the day.rn A gentle breeze passing overhead,rn lost, but will I find my way?rnrn Opaque clouds all sizes and shapesrn slowly, silently floating above.rn If I open my eyes what will I see,rn a horseshoe, seashell, maybe a dove.rnrn Slapping bouncing rocks in its way,rn sound of water not moving fast.rn Air smells so clean, pure, untouched,rn a pebble over the water I cast.rnrn Lean over to see all the wet stones,rn reach in, feels cool, refreshing to touch.rn Opening my eyes, must have been a dream,rn surely I did not sleep too much.rnrn rnrnWritten by:rnKaren Palumbo
