at which length did you stop to shoot, at the 70 or 200mm end? She looks like a very interesting subject. I would, though, use the shorter end of your lens. I would try to get closer, build rapport with her, gesture my intentions, and take the few shots you've been waiting for. but again it comes back to your message.
