nContemporary dance research group, founded 1997 in Rome (I). It focuses on the ambiguity of bodily states and their alterations, including lights experiments and sound investigation in the bewilderment of phisical capabilities. The group was soon engaged by distinctive international festivals for new dance and theatre and is considered as one of the most radical research ensemble of the Italian scene.

nIn 2000 Michele Di Stefano wins the “Danza&Danza” Award for contemporary dance. In 2002 he presents the group's whole teathrography at the Piccolo Teatro Studio in Milan.

nMK is amongst the five groups selected for “Corpo Sottile” (Ubulibri, Milan 2003), a book about the new European dance scene (with Jerome Bel, Xavier LeRoy, Myriam Gourfink and Kinkaleri). The 2006 production was commissioned by La BiennaleDanza in Venice. The 2008 production premiered on May at the Palladium Theatre in Rome.

nMichele Di Stefano graduated 1990 at the University of Salerno on German expressionist theatre. He teaches workshops as a way to develop the inquiry about bodily conditions in choreography. He is also the promoter of several free research laboratories for dancers and people connected to movement research. He teached also at Brera Academy in Milan and at
nthe DAMS University in Bologna.

nComfort is a geographic piece that goes through a territory without maps. Space is determined by instability and is unwrapped just like a present.
nThe dynamic of exploration is set up through a permanent decision-making. Forms are crossed in view of constant mobility. The choreographic identity of the performer is entrusted to the 'other' as a continuous removal of the self. This lack of stability meets with a strange attraction for the code, the hieroglyph and the folklore.

nWe try to look into the sense of 'belonging' of a body to the outside world, at the border between home and an open field, with a fall in the background.
nDance makes presence and adaptation to the outside world – where other bodies and projects dart - possible; in this sens every start of the movement is a foundation and a breakdown.

nIn this dance, time is a succession of propositions and disappearance. The choreography itself disappears, the body still remains.
