nThe War Cemetery of Kerkhof Peutjoet
nHere lie the Dutch soldiers who died during the long history of Aceh War. The Dutch laid siege on Banda Aceh in 1873 and the cemetery was established in 1880. More than 2200 soldier are buried there, including General Koehler who led the first invasion against Aceh. Apart from the Dutch, there are also Javanese, Menadonese and Ambonese enlisted men buried here. Apparently, more died from disease than on the battlefield. IR viewnya cantik nih... kesan dingin dan sepinya terasa, tapi kesan seramnya hilang yah.. tapi kherkof belanda memang gak seram kok ya.. :-) salam... :-))
