You may recognize this as the latest cover for "KABAR Magazine". If not, go grab one! ;)nnI spent a few hours on foot, walking around south central Jakarta with only my backpack and a smile. The Indonesian children were fast on my heels, shouting “Mister, photo yah?”. I generally bring a bag of candy or some extra cash with me to hand out, but unfortunately forgot. They’re all too quick to pose and point out ‘good’ places to take photos. I find that the best spots are those that most locals take for granted on a regular basis. The vibrant colors of their neighborhood was fascinating enough to catch my eye over and over. I find that simply walking and chatting will provide some of the best photo ops in this country.nnPeople are almost always eager to help in any way possible; that’s something I’ll miss when I do leave this place. You never feel too much of a stranger, no matter where you go. nnDate Time Original: 2005:10:16 15:24:58nISO Speed Ratings: 200

wow... maybe if not used PS, it will be just regular snapshot... you have many idea... this is good
luv the tone.. simple.
Simple but interesting.........
I'm definitely gonna go shoot something like this rather than Monas or Museum Fatahilah when I go back to Jakarta :)
I like the mood :) btw, you should listen to Yoga's advice. No money. give the children anything but money. If you give them money, at first visit you got 10 kids following you anywhere, but at your second and subsequent visit you'll get 50 kids and probably several adults tugging your shirt. hehehe
Good Color composition
simple...but very nice pic!!
nice idea just always be simple.... this is it.... you've made it mr.Hoover.... nice caption.....

Nice compo, colors and details Brandon.. Important : Next time you walking around and meet some children, please don't give them any money.. better give them candy, pens or pencils or even books.. but no money !! This is for their own good.. :) Thanks for sharing. PEACE !!
Reminds me of my 'kampung' back in Samosir, Sumatera. You can find almost every traditional shop has these door systems. A very honest picture. Very nice. Did you enhance the contrast?
