I saw this guy (Grey Heron, Ardea cinera) while chasing the leaders in the Caltex Masters on Sunday at Laguna Golf and Country Club.

I wished I had more time to get a better shot of it to eliminate the top background clutterness, but I was really there for work—to shoot the golfers (do see the link I gave above for pix from the event)

Nice shot Tim, good composition, exposure. You're right, the top dark clutter on the BG is a bit distracting.

Or, why you worry to leave some upper part of the Heron fall in the dark BG by lowering the angle. Have seen your Golf shot on Fred's :). All Great.
