an elderly Cambodian monk that I had met outside a village temple in Siem Reap last year. Its a photo from November 2002. I feel at peace looking at it. I know, some of you might feel color is too warm. The warm late afternoon light, with his orange robe and a 81A filter all added up to this result. Each taste is different. Dont worry, just comment.

Ed, this is simply a beautiful portrait and some misteriousness about his smile. The lighting on his face is excellent, and yet I love the dark of his face and darker of the background. Aesthetically, it is so pleasing and wonderful in all aspects. You have captured him very well.

you're right mr. eddy, the color is too warm, especially the skin color, not natural as it suppose to be. btw, the picture reminds me to my father though he was not a monk. :)
i feel too much saturation of colour for this theme (or too warm)
