Approach is a little salon style...an old lady in northern Laos prepares lunch outside her home on the outskirts of Luang Prabang. Thank you for the suggestions Bp Gandi and Bp Adrian. She's actually poking a small metal rod at the charcoal in the portable stove (its not a food pot!) This took me some time of sitting with her to get her comfortable with my presence. She was alone at home with the little children sleeping inside house while the adults were out working. She was very happy for me to be there to keep her company although we were like duck and cow talking! rnrnYou should go visit Laos, its people are very warm.rnrnp/s Kenny, enjoy your journey into the world of photography. This does not mean that color is good or BW is good. Just different tools and different interpretations.

nice BW...lainya ngikut deh..
Ngikut Mas Gunawan..dech..
nice capture... I agree with Gandi and Agoes.. lower angle?
This picture has strong elements that gives us an idea of the lady's way of living. Sandals, thermos, tikar, wooden doors and walls. Very nice tonal as well. I think it can use a little stronger 'tension' as you call it, though (I agree with Gandi about the moment her hand feeds her mouth). Very strong documentary style (still!). The tonal quality really lift up the strength of this photo.
Nice moment and expression...
Nice b/w picture...the lady expression is good... maybe if you could wait a moment later until her finger/spoon reached her mouth(which is will open of course..)..the picture will be stronger... after all..that's already perfect...
