Hello, I will be visiting Indonesia for the first time in September. I have a rough plan of where I want to stay and what sights to see, but not having been there before, I am seeking your expert advice.
I will arrive in Jakarta from Bangkok on a morning flight, here is a list of where I want to stay and visit...
1. Jakarta - city tour, possibly some shots with model if that can be arranged
2. Bandung - Puncak Pass, Tangkuban Perahu, Kawah Putih, possible model shots
3. Yogyakarta - city tour, Borobudur (stay one night Manohara for sunrise), Prambanan, possibly Solo if time
4. Mt. Bromo. Ijen Crater (maybe flight Yogya-Surabaya, then car)
I first thought one week I could do this, but now I have 10 days total. My questions for you are...
1. Is it possible to rent car and driver in Jakarta for entire trip? Cost of this?
2. Your recommended hotel in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogya, Bromo area? I can afford around 500,000rp per night. I look for safety more than luxury.
3. Any place around those areas that I should check out for landscape photos?
4. The best place for performance of Ramayana and Gamelan Orchestra?
5. Any other advices you have for a first time visitor to your country?
