VII saat ini jumlah anggotanya 10 orang, jadi mereka ngga ngebatesin sampai 7 orang. 7 adalah jumlah fotografer saat biro itu pertama kali terbentuk september 2001.
Mereka membatasi jumlah anggota 14 orang. Jadi mereka masih buka lowongan. Ada yang tertarik? :)

VII Membership

Core to the founders' desires is that the number of VII members remain under 14. The founders believe that a larger number of members would be unmanageable and undermine the purpose of the agency.

Anyone may apply for membership, but membership only will be offered to photographers whom we believe will enhance laterally the body of work that we currently produce; to photographers whom we believe we can work with in the management of VII; and to photographers whom we believe have high standards of journalistic and documentary integrity.

As VII is solely owned by its members, it comes with shareholder responsibility. New members will spend at least one year with VII before full membership is offered. All members will be obliged to purchase shares, attend shareholders meetings and contribute dynamically and responsibly to the business of the agency.

Candidates are considered by the existing members only during the VII annual meeting. These yearly meetings are announced three weeks prior to convening and are posted on this website. However, all submissions for membership should be made by March 31st 2006 and in the following manner.

INTERNSHIPS
VII Photo Agency - Paris, New York, Los Angeles

VII Photo Agency is currently seeking four interns to fill positions in Paris (2), New York (1) and Los Angeles (1) for the period May-August 2006.

The Paris and New York internships provide unique exposure to the archive and sales sides of the agency, with some level of interaction with the photographers themselves. The Los Angeles internship will be focused more on supporting the business operations of the agency, plus will include helping out on the upcoming VII Seminar in Pasadena, California.

Candidates should have or be pursuing a degree in photography, plus possess comparable photography work experience. The intern position requires knowledge of scanning, Photoshop and Macintosh systems.

The ideal candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated, flexible, resourceful and intelligent in their approach to the workplace.

Requirements: 4-month commitment, full-time availability, reliable transportation and accommodation in your city of choice. This is an unpaid internship, so please be financially prepared to participate in this program.
